While opening a demat account with any bank, you need to submit a set of prescribed documents. If the documents are appropriate, you will receive your account number very soon. Here we have shared a list of all the documents you would require to open your demat account.
First of all, you need to fill up an application form or account opening form. Besides this form, you will have to enclose the supporting documents.
List of Documents Required for Demat Account Opening
Find a complete list of all the demat account opening documents. There might be a slight variation depending upon the bank. However, the documents will remain same with all the financial institutions except for additional documents.
Submit all these documents in self-attested photocopy to open your demat account.
PAN card copy
Aadhar card copy
If you are not submitting aadhar, submit address proof and residence proof
Passport size photo
Your account passbook of SBI if you already have an account with the bank
Fill up all your saving account information in the application form.
Keep the photocopy of the filled up form for your records. Make sure you submit good quality legible copies of the document. You can submit the documents to your nearest bank branch. If you are applying online, use the official website of the bank.
Upload all the copies of the self-attested documents as given above. Also, scan and upload your passport size photo and submit the complete documents with the account opening form duly signed by you.
